Water Channel on Jl. Karang Tengah Dredged

South Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-dept. personnel dredged water channel on Jl. Karang Tengah, Lebak Bulus, Cilandak. Hopefully, the dredging could overcome inundation that often occurs.

Around 150 personnel were deployed which combined from SDA Sub-dept. and PPSU personnel

South Jakarta  SDA Sub-dept. Head, Holi Susanto, said water channel was dredged around 400 meters long on left and right sides of the road. It was done because inundation often occurs in that area. Citizen, especially road users, complaining that condition.

"We work together to dredge water channel to prevent inundation on Jl. Karang Tengah. Around 150 personnel were deployed which combined from SDA Sub-dept. and PPSU personnel," he said, Saturday (3/4).

According to him, to support their work, his side also deployed 1 unit of mini spider excavator, 1 jack hammer or concrete breaker tool, and 12 units of dump truck. Also, 1 pump car and 10 irrigation pumps also deployed to drain the water to water channel across the road.

Water channel was filled with mud and trash thus water often inundated. Besides, existing crossing was closed by road elevation. 

He also urged the citizen to not throwing trash carelessly to water channel because it can trigger inundation and disadvantage many sides.
